Scoreboard: Stanton edges Corning

CORNING — The Stanton Viqueens went five games with Corning before winning Monday night.

Stanton defeated Corning, 3-2.

Corning stole the first game 26-24. The Viqueens responded by winning the next two 25-17 and 25-13. Corning won game four, 25-19.

Stanton won the fifth game decisively, 15-4.

The Viqueens don't have a match for the rest of the week. Their next match will be Sept. 27 against Nishnabotna.
