Sorensen lone medalist for Villisca boys track at Shen

SHENANDOAH—The Villisca Blue Jays boys track team finished 14th at the Mustang Relays in Shenandoah, last Tuesday.
Austin Sorensen scored the only point for Villisca by finishing sixth in the 800-meter run, running a time of 2:16.29. Soresnen finished second in his heat, behind one of Clarinda Academy’s runners.
Colton Drake finished 10th in the high jump with a jump of 5’4”.
The Blue Jays were scheduled to compete at the East Mills relay Thursday, but the meet was canceled due to inclement weather.
They competed at the Stanton meet Monday, but results weren’t available as of press time. They’ll be in action Tuesday to take part in Nishnabotna’s track meet in Hamburg.
