Sports Calendar: Tuesday, April 17

There are several events and meets taking place Tuesday, all around Southwest Iowa.

In boys' track, Red Oak will be home as they host the Red Oak Invitational, which will start at 5 p.m. The meet will feature teams from the Hawkeye Ten, as well as the Corner Conference.

In girls' track, Red Oak will be on the road as they take part at Treynor's meet. Schools from the Corner Conference, as well as the Western Iowa Conference, including Griswold, will be competing at the meet.

The only other area track meet taking place Tuesday will be in Hamburg as Nishnabotna boys' track team hosts the meet. Villisca and East Mills will be among the teams competing.

In tennis, Red Oak will compete against Shenandoah Tuesday. The girls' will be home, while the boys' are on the road. For the boys', they'll try and get to 4-1 and get their second conference win this season. The girls' will try to get over .500 with a win against Shenandoah.

Finally, in golf, the Red Oak golf teams will be on the road as they take on Sidney. Fremont-Mills will also be at the meet.
