Stanton inducts six new members into the NHS

The Stanton Community School recently inducted six new members into the National Honor Society.

The new inductees are:

Kara Allen, daughter of Mark and Barb Allen; Ragen Anderson, daughter of Mickey and Marla Anderson; Greg Focht, son of Lori Peterson and Rod Focht; Bailey McKee, daughter of Wade and Angie McKee; Ellen Oster, daughter of Ed and Donna Oster; and Emily Oster, daughter of Ed and Donna Oster.

Marlene Kennon, Stanton graduate and community leader,  was this year’s guest speaker.

The Stanton Honor Society is involved in community service activities and provides two scholarships for Stanton students each year. So far this year the group has helped with Stanton’s Trick-or-Treat on the Trail and also organized a service project to take elementary students trick-or-treating around town for Halloween. Future plans include a Valentine cookie sale to raise funds for scholarships and volunteering at the Grand Theatre.
