Stanton reader labels Miner’s columns as Democratic talking points

Let’s rename Cherie Miner’s articles for what they really are: Talking points from the Democratic National Committee.

I have tried to stay informed, as Ms. Miner suggests.

A fun Sunday for me is watching Face the Nation, Meet the Press, This Week, Fox News with Chris Wallace and ending with the McLaughlin Group.

I enjoy reading everything from The Wall Street Journal to the Des Moines register.
Interestingly, we come to opposite conclusions politically. To say the main stream media fails to report all the Presidents accomplishments is mind boggling. I see this President getting a free pass like no other.

Now, Ms. Miner stoops to name calling. Those ofus who are not thrilled with Obama Care are, in her words, “ignorant.”

Obama Care is now before the Supreme Court to decide whether the Federal Govern-ment can force everyone in this country to buy something.

Talk about a slippery slope!

Of course, nothing is mentioned of how this health care from the heavens is going to be paid for. The Congressional Budget Office has already said the cost will be double what President Obama said.

If this country doesn’t stop its headlong charge toward bankruptcy, all talk of government programs will be a moot point. To infer that this President is reducing the deficit is laughable.

Thankfully, we live in a country where opposing views can be freely expressed. “Opposing Views” being the key words.

Readers of the Red Oak Express have been getting a one sided view.

Clinging to my guns and religion, but having antipathy toward no one.
