Support for youth activities urged

 Dear Editor:

Amazing is the best way to describe school-sponsored activities. We follow as many school activities as possible and thoroughly enjoy watching the youth of our community. We cannot make every activity, but we try to make as many as possible. 

The most rewarding aspect of supporting the youth of our community can be seen in many areas: community pride; supporting the youth; the youth are very much appreciative of who attends their events; providing leadership; teamwork and a sense of pride for one’s school and/or community; creating relationships with the youth, family members and residents of our community and area and the best entertainment value within one’s community.

We realize not everyone can attend every school activity, however, as a community we are blessed to have wonderful  print and on-air services provided by the Red Oak Express and KCSI/KOAK radio to provide outstanding coverage of many community/area events.

As we move into the final months of the school year and summer activities, there are still many opportunities to support our youth in many activities. Together we can make our community a wonderful place to live, work and play.

In closing, please continue to be involved or consider becoming involved in supporting the great youth of our community. It will be the best decision you can make personally and for our community.
