SWIBA Honor Bands selected

The Southwest Iowa Bandmasters Association held its annual District Middle School Honor Band Auditions on Oct. 31 at Clarinda Middle School.
More than 700 students auditioned for selection to the 7th and 8th Grade Honor Bands. The Honor Bands rehearsed and performed at Atlantic High School on Nov. 13.
Conductors for the 2009 SWIBA Middle School Honor Bands are Daphne Monson from Urbandale Middle School in Urbandale, for the 7th Grade band and Jason Heeren from Storm Lake High School in Storm Lake, for the 8th Grade band.
