Teresa Walters concert this Saturday

RED OAK — Pianist Teresa Walters will perform a concert at the Wilson Performing Arts Center this Saturday.

Walters will present “A Liszt Celebration” at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will honor the 200th birthday of pianist Franz Liszt.
Walters is a critically acclaimed pianist who has played all around the U.S. and world.

She’s received rave reviews from The New York Times, The London Times, The Jerusalem Post and The Washington Post.

Walter’s has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, the Salle Cortot in Paris, Moscow’s Great Hall, Austrailia’s International Coservatorium and Jerusalam’s Concert Hall.

Walters has performed at the Beethoven Festival in Vienna and Spanish Music Festivals in Madrid and Barcelona.

Walters was the first American pianist invited by Hungary to present the Anniversary Concert in honor of Liszt’s birthday.

She’s performed at the Liszt’s Academy of Music and the Liszt Museum in Duapest, as well as his birthplace in Raiding.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.

Walters will be holding a piano masters class on Sunday at 1 p.m. for paino students of all ages.

The event is free due to the sponsorship of the Tom and Mary Jetton Charitable Fund through the Omaha Community Foundation.
