Tickets on sale for daddy daughter dance
RED OAK — Tickets are now on sale for the second annual Red Oak Rotary Club’s Daddy Daughter Dance.
The dance is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4 in the Gold Fair Building, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The event is open to all girls in grades kindergarten through fifth, and is designed to provide an opportunity for them to share a memorable experience with someone special in their life.
“This is a chance for fathers and daughters to create some very special memories each will cherish for years to come,” Smith said. “Also, if the father can’t attend, girls are encouraged to bring an uncle, grandfather, or close family friend to share the experience.”
When the girls arrive to the fair building, they will receive a corsage that can be attached to their clothes.
A photographer will also be on site taking photos of the girls and their escort. The photos will be available to be picked up Feb. 13 at the Association office, but they will have the opportunity to make a frame for it at the dance. Another craft available will be a duct tape bracelet.
Refreshments including a drink, cookies and finger sandwiches will also be available while Greg Brower provides the music.
The two pictures, crafts, food and corsage are all included in the ticket price of $15 per couple. Fathers bringing more than one girl can purchase additional single-person tickets for $7 each.
With each ticket purchased, girls will also have a chance to win several prizes, including packages of a free hairstyle, manicure and dinner at a local restaurant for her and her father.
“This event far exceeded our expectations in terms of attendance last year and we anticipate even more girls taking part this year,” Smith said. “So we strongly encourage everyone to buy their tickets early.”
Tickets are on sale at the Red Oak Chamber and Industry Association or by calling 623-6079.
