Trojans get season's first win
COLLEGE SPRINGS - The Essex Trojans tipped off the second half of their season with a win as they traveled to South Page.
The Trojans seemed to have control through the first half as they led 24-15 at the break.
Tyler Stewart led the Trojans with a double-double scoring 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Adam Lundgren and Dylan Ross each added eight points to push the Trojans to their first win.
In the third quarter, the Rebels pulled within six before Stewart and the Trojans locked down on defense.
Lndgren and Ross led Essex with 10 combined steals as the Trojans finished off the Rebels.
The Trojans lost their game against Farragut, 63-32, Friday.
Essex pulled out of the basement of the Corner Conference with their win over South Page with a 1-6 record overall and 1-3 in conference play. They trail Farragut by one game for eighth place in the conference.
