UPDATED: State volleyball notes

With Red Oak set to compete in the state volleyball tournament next week, Red Oak High School has released an agenda for the next week.

Tickets to the quarterfinals match will be available for the public for purchase. They can be purchased at the High School activities office starting Friday until Tuesday at 2 p.m. Tickets will be $8.

In addition, a pep bus will be available for high school students to sign up for the Cedar Rapids trip. The fee will be $8 per rider and a minimum of 30 students will be needed for the bus to make the trip. Sign-ups started Thursday and will continue until Monday at 3 p.m. Students who sign up for the bus, must also purchase a ticket.

The pep bus will leave at 5 a.m. Wednesday for the trip to Cedar Rapids. The match starts at 10 a.m. on Court 2.

The pep buses would also be available for next Thursday and Friday, if Red Oak advances to the next rounds. The price is the same in both instances.

Additionally, Red Oak High School will host a pep rally Monday afternoon in the gymnasium, starting at 3 p.m.

The team is scheduled to leave for Cedar Rapids Tuesday morning and will be in attendance for several volleyball matches.

UPDATE: Pizza Hut in Red Oak will host a Community Send-Off for the Red Oak volleyball team Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. There will be items up for auction to help with the cost for the team's state tournament appearance.
