Vernon Kelsey, 72, Bellevue, Neb., died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013.
Vernon Kelsey was born Nov. 26, 1940.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph O. Kelsey, and a sister, Ramona Brittian.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Kelsey; children, Sandra Hobson and Randall Kelsey; three stepsons; his mother, Hulda Kelsey; a brother, Leroy and wife Sharon; a sister, Evelyn Keyser; three grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was Friday, Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Bellevue. Interment followed at Bellevue Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Nebraska Humane Society.
Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
