Voting underway; notice next week

The Red Oak Community School District’s bond issue election day is June 27, but people can vote absentee or in person at the Montgomery County Auditor’s Office right now.

Auditor Stephanie Burke said that as of Monday morning, there were 20 requests for absentee ballots, including early voters in person at the courthouse, and 18 of the ballots had actually been cast.

A formal public notice featuring the official ballot, all of the local polling places, polling hours, and other information regarding the June 27 election will be published in The Red Oak Express in its June 13 edition.
