RAGBRAI

For the 2009 RAGBRAI overnight stay in Red Oak the YMCA will have indoor camping and showers including towels.

On July 19 the YMCA will be open at 8 a.m. on a first come, first serve basis until checkout on July 20. Air conditioned camping in the YMCA gym and non-air-conditioned camping in the tennis center with towel service for showers. The YMCA is responsible for showers at the swimming pool from 8 p.m. until midnight July 19 and from 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. on July 20.

YMCA raffle

The YMCA will be raffling off four gift certificates for meat donated by Fareway Stores in Red Oak. Tickets can be purchased at the YMCA until June 25 or at the Fareway Store on the day of the drawing.

All proceeds will benefit the YMCA’s “Membership for Everyone” program which assists people wanting to become YMCA members or participate in a YMCA program but have financial limitations.

The drawing will take place June 25 at Fareway’s Summer Special Luncheon/Promotion Day. Need not be present to win.
