YMCA receives $6,000 grant

The Montgomery County Family YMCA had notification on Oct. 28, that they were one of the recipients of a $6,000 grant money from the Community Foundations of Southwest Iowa. This grant is made possible through the Montgomery County Field of Interest Fund.

In August the YMCA had applied for funds to secure or assist to purchase a water toy for the children and adults who play in the YMCA’s zero depth swimming pool.

The YMCA also was in need of a laptop computer to do staff trainings in every area of the YMCA slong with being able to do the trainings to meet the OSHA Safety regulataitons and then we needed some assistance getting some new water and land classes started.
