YMCA set for volleyball camp later this month

 The Montgomery County Family YMCA will be hosting the Jessica Phillips-Rinehart Summer Volleyball Camp that has been designed to teach and review skills for girls entering 3rd-8th grade this fall. 

The camp will be held at the YMCA gymnasium, under the direction of Jessica Phillips-Rinehart, a former Red Oak High School standout. 

Jessica completed her first year as head coach at Ankeny Centennial High School leading them to a state semi-final appearance. 

Prior to that, she spent 12 seasons coaching collegiate volleyball including leading Northwest Missouri State University to their first NCAA appearance in school history.

The camp will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, June 25 – 26.  Session times for the camp are 9-10:15 a.m. for the 3rd – 5th grade session and 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for the 6th - 8th grade session.

An “Early Bird” discount on the camps fees is available through June 21st. Registration forms are available at the YMCA or on the YMCA’s website – mcymca.com. 

The YMCA’s intention is all youth have the opportunity to participate in its programs and financial assistance is available.
