’Tis season for giving at ROMS

Sallach is a member of the Red Oak Middle School Student Council, which coordinated the food drive for the food pantry.
Teachers taped off areas as big as a door outside their classroom and students brought items for the food pantry. If the students brought enough food to cover the section, that teacher did not have class on Nov. 22, and the kids got to choose what activity they could do for a free class period. Seventeen of the 19 doors reached the goal.
Students delivered the items last week and were told that the donations would get the food pantry through the holidays and into January.
