Accident Reports

• On Feb. 2, at about 1:24 p.m., Kevin Lebaugh, 52, Red Oak, was driving a 2000 Pontiac Montana van westbound on Maple St. when he failed to yield the right-of-way to a southbound 1993 Chevy Blazer, driven by Bradley Fink, 28, Malvern. Lebaugh struck Fink in the middle of the intersection. The roads were snow covered and slushy, making Lebaugh skid instead of coming to a stop. There are no traffic control devices located at this intersection. No injuries were reported.
• On Feb. 3, at about 9:55 a.m., a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned and driven by Carolyn Houston was southbound on O Ave. Just south of 250th St., the vehicle hit ice on the roadway, causing the vehicle to slide into the west ditch. The Cherokee hit the embankment of the driveway at 2519 O Ave., left the ground and rolled onto the driver’s side upon landing. Houston was trapped in the vehicle and had to be removed by the Stanton Fire Department with the jaws of life. Houston was transported to Montgomery County Memorial Hospital by Stanton Rescue to be treated for possible minor injuries. There were no citations issued. Bates Towing also assisted at the scene.
