Mark Erickson, a 13 year veteran teacher at Inman Primary School in the Red Oak Community School District, was named an Excellence in Education Winner for 2010.

ESSEX – The Trojans had their chances to defeat the Villisca Blue Jays in the first round of the Regional Volleyball Tournament Wednesday, but fell in three games, 26-24, 25-18, and 25-22.
STANTON — The Stanton Viqueens swept their first regional volleyball match against the South Page Rebels to open up the second round of the 1A regionals last Wednesday night.
