Barbara R. Wilson, 81

Barbara R. Wilson, 81, died Aug. 10, 2009 at the Griswold Care Center.

Barbara Regina Wilson was born April 23, 1925, at Lone tree farm northwest of Elliott, rural Pottawattamie County, the daughter of George Clement and Ada (Jennings) Wilson.

Barb graduated from Elliott High School in 1947 and attended business school in Council Bluffs. After her graduation she worked in Omaha until 1950. She returned to the farm and started her career at the Thomas D. Murphy Co. in Red Oak. Barb was a lifetime member of the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Griswold.

Preceding Barb in death were her parents, brother Thomas R. Wilson and Norbert D. Wilson.

Survivors include her brother, Dr. Robert G. Wilson of Missouri Valley; sister-in-law Rose Wilson of Elliott; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Aug. 13 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Griswold. Interment was in Waveland Township Cemetery north of Elliott.

Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold is in charge of arrangements.
