Eileen Bishop, 90

Eileen Dorothy (Stopher) Bishop, 90, Red Oak, formerly of Mitchell, S.D., died Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society.

Eileen was born July 7, 1922, in Ethan, S.D., the daughter of Henry and Mary (Wieland) Stopher.

Preceding her in death were her parents; 11 brothers and sisters, Harry Stopher, Thelma Quick, Ruby Wermers, Mildred Reuschlein, Ethel Stopher, George Stopher, Pearl Stopher, Catherine Olsen, Clara Johnson, Frances Rogge and James Stopher; a son, Thomas Barnes; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Ted Turgeon of Omaha, Jane Hansen of Griswold, Mary Peeler Tampa, Fla. and Maxine “Mikki” Bollack of Ethan; seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.  

Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Ethan.  Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Good Samaritan Society.
