Farm Bureau holds safety poster contest
Montgomery County Farm Bureau hosted a safety poster contest for Stanton third-grade students in Terri Vennerberg’s classroom.
Using their artistic abilities, the children were asked to create a poster that taught a safety lesson on the farm or at home. It was held in honor of National Farm Safety Week. The class studied safety lessons during this time.
There were 18 posters judged by members of the Farm Bureau women’s committee. The top three posters were selected and those students earned cash prizes from Farm Bureau. All youth participating received a free Pizza Hut coupon. The posters will be displayed at Stanton school for parent/teacher conference week.
Awards were presented to the students at their school in Stanton on Oct. 11. Contest winners were Tyler Peterson (first), Kami Tibben (second) and Dacota Bolton (third).
All posters included a safety theme and colorful artwork. Farm Bureau thanks all of the children for sharing their talents.
