Gateway of Chaos ranks on national level

Just last year, Gateway of Chaos-a professional haunted house attraction- summoned thousands of patrons through their doors.

This year will be no different.  Yet even in its second year, they have already made their way to being one of the top ranked haunts in the area according to individual haunted house polls at www.hauntworld.com-a national haunted house registry.
It’s all part of a community fundraising event, directed by veteran haunter, Spencer Terry.  “Every penny of the funds raised goes right back into the communities we serve” said Spencer Terry.  “I think it’s part of why we’re getting such huge support is because we’re not keeping the money for ourselves.  It goes to our non-profit, the Malvern Area Betterment Association, who in turn reinvests it into Malvern, Mills County and South West Iowa.”
This year, Gateway of Chaos has increased their staff size by 30%, and spent additional money to ensure this year is better than last.  It includes a smaller more claustrophobic feel, pneumatic props, highly trained actors, high definition masks and attention to every detail.
They also plan to host fun night where kids (and squeamish adults) can come through the haunt without the big scares from actors, but still witness the decor, lighting, sound effects and more.  Flashlights will be allowed during the 7-8 p.m. hour only on Oct. 9 and 30.  Otherwise, during every Saturday from 8 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
