Girls regional tennis assignments released
DES MOINES — Red Oak High School will get an opportunity to host regional team tennis meets, with state on the horizon.
The team brackets were released on Friday, with Red Oak competing in Region 1.
Red Oak girls' tennis will host Creston in the Regional Quarterfinals on May 14 at 9 a.m. The other match competing in Red Oak on May 14 will be Corning against Atlantic.
The two winners will face off later that day at 1 p.m.
Should Red Oak advance on, they would also get to host the Regional Final on May 21. You can view the Team Tennis brackets here.
Regional assignments for Class 1A Singles and Doubles girls' tennis were released last Wednesday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU).
Red Oak will be competing in Region 2, which is hosted by Shenandoah. The Tigers will compete against the likes of Creston, Glenwood, Clarinda, Corning, St. Albert and Atlantic.
