Grant funds Infant CPR Kits at MCMH
RED OAK - A grant of $2,000 from the Montgomery County Community Foundation has been used to provide Infant CPR-Anytime kits to parents of newborns at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital.
The kits are given to parents who have a baby born at the Birthing Center at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital.
Each kit contains a mannequin of a newborn along with reading materials and a how-to DVD.
The program has been shown to self-train new parents, siblings, grandparents and other care givers on how to administer CPR on their newborn.
The program saves lives.
The $2,000 grant awarded to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital Foundation, was a portion of the $38,200 in grants awarded by the Montgomery County Community Foundation.
The grant was used to purchase 57 of the Infant CPR-Anytime kits.
