Hazel Thorn, 74

Hazel L. Thorn, 74, of Atlantic, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.

Hazel Louise Thorn was born to William Henry and Gladys Pauline (Kinman) Thorne Feb. 20, 1938, in Coin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Butch Watts; son, Jerry Watts; a grandson; parents; and eight siblings.

Hazel is survived by her children, Teresa Smith, of Atlantic, Tina Douthit, of Neosho, Mo., Allan Watts, of Harlan, and Randy Watts, of Atlantic; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Thursday, April 12, with a scriptural prayer service at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic. Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, April 13, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Atlantic. Burial was in the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Atlantic.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic.
