Big second quarter helps Stanton-Essex to win

Stanton-Essex used a 28-point second quarter to help propel them to a 48-22 win over Griswold in a non-district football tilt in Stanton Friday.
The Vikings trailed 6-0 after a quarter before exploding for four second quarter touchdowns.
Nolan Case spearheaded the Viking offense, tossing five touchdowns and finishing his night 16-of-29 for 287 yards. Cooper Dreyer hauled in five passes for 101 yards and three TDs while Jayden Snow and Jayden Burke each grabbed TDs.
Griswold outyarded Stanton-Essex 360 to 349 but had three turnovers to the Vikings’ one.
Dain Laverty was 10-of-17 passing for 121 yards and a TD. He also added 113 yards and two TDs rushing.
Dreyer picked off three passes to lead the Viking defense.
Colton Frieze led Griswold’s defense with six solo tackles.
