Tigers’ Bond ends season at state wrestling meet

Red Oak’s Nicole Bond ended her senior season at the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Wrestling Meet at the XTream Arena in Coralville Thursday.
Bond dropped her opening round match to Central Elkader’s Mayleigh Medberry (48-10) by fall. Bond did come back to win an 11-4 decision over Sioux Central’s Nataley Frerk (24-6) in the consolation bracket.
She saw her season come to an end in the consolation second round with a 4-2 loss to Logan-Magnolia’s Jordan Buffum.
Bond finishes her season with a record of 32-10.
