Tigers drop decision to Trojans
Atlantic knocked off Red Oak 9-0 in Hawkeye 10 Conference tennis Thursday.
The Trojans swept all six singles matches and all three doubles matches in the victory.
The loss drops Red Oak to 4-3 on the season.

Tiger tennis fifth at Atlantic
The Red Oak boys tennis team competed in the Atlantic Tournament Wednesday and came away with a fifth-place finish.
Shenandoah swept all four brackets to win the team title with a score of 32 points. The host Trojans and Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln shared second place with 25 points. Red Oak tallied 15 points.
The Mustang’s Luke Daoust won the No. 1 singles bracket and teammate Matt Holmes the No. 2 single title. In doubles, Shenandoah’s tandem of Teagan Brunk and Lucas Sun won the No. 1 doubles and Ryan Lawrence and Levi Rystrom No. 2 doubles.
The Tigers’ No. 6 seeded AJ Beeson finished fifth in the tournament with a 3-6, 6-4, 10-4 super tiebreak win over Atlantic’s Carson Matthews. Beeson was 2-1 on the day in No. 1 singles.
In the top doubles bracket, the Tigers’ Kaleb Sebeniecher and Dillan Rydberg placed fourth after falling to Atlantic’s Zayden Parker and Rayden Wheeler 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 super tiebreak third place match.
Jackson Perdue defeated Glenwood’s Gideon Davis 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 2 singles to secure fifth place.
Red Oak’s Ethan Strunk and Damian Goodman placed seventh with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson’s Preston Wade and Kaeden Holloway in No. 2 doubles.
