Joan Parris, 64

Joan Marie Parris, 64, Red Oak, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.  

Joan was born Dec. 29, 1948, in Red Oak, the daughter of Gordon and Marcella (Bonham) Shaw.

Survivors include her companion of 26 years, Tim Helm of Red Oak; mother, Marcella Shaw of Red Oak; children, Mikal Parris of Hastings, Neb., David Parris of Emerson, Debora Hall of Collinsville, Okla., Robert Parris of Red Oak, Rachel Gebhardt of Pleasant Hill and Melissa Mills of Red Oak; brothers, Walter Shaw of Round Rock, Texas and Roger Shaw of Red Oak.

Graveside funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
