Lester speaks at Iowa Key Leaders Conference

On Nov. 11 The Montgomery County Family YMCA sent a delegation of staff and volunteers to the 2009 YMCA of Iowa Key Leaders Conference that was held at the Des Moines YMCA Camp outside Boone.

Over 100 staff and volunteers through 29 independent YMCA’s attended the conference. The conference had many outstanding workshops from programming, board/staff related, facility, employees, challenges, developing new leaders, spreading the world, social media to endowment topics.

Jeanice Lester of the Montgomery County Family YMCA - who has served as President of the YMCA Board of Directors now serving as Vice President until the end of 2009, member of the YMCA’s endowment trustees and a member of the YMCA of the USA National Goverence Committee - in which Lester just completed her two year term with various projects , membership standards for independent YMCA’s to follow the guidelines for local YMCA’s to earn the membership standards annually which included two trips and meetings to Chicago, Ill., here final one on Nov. 5-6 lead a workshop at the Iowa YMCA Key Leaders Conference “ Every YMCA Can Have an Endowment Program”
