Montgomery County YMCA awarded $23,443

The Montgomery County Family YMCA was recently notified by the Montgomery County Community Foundation Advisory Board that the Montgomery County Family YMCA has been awarded $23,443.

The YMCA has established a committee to research the latest trends and technology in the health and wellness field and with funding from the YMCA, we will be able to have over $25,000 worth of new equipment. It is the hope that the new equipment will be at the YMCA and in place by early fall 2009. The YMCA will plan to have an open house/memberships orientations on the new health/wellness & fitness equipment.

Nick Zimmer, Executive Director of the Montgomery County Family YMCA, expressed the YMCA’s deepest appreciation to the grant program and how the grant will assist the YMCA’s entire services in so many ways.

The YMCA thanks the Montgomery County Endowment program for such a tremendous program for not just the YMCA but for so many worthwhile organizations that truly make Montgomery County a great place to live and work in.
