2020 RAGBRAI cancelled due to coronavirus

RAGBRAI has been included in the ever-growing list of cancellations and postponements due to COVID-19. The announcement was made April 20.

The 48th annual bicycle ride, scheduled July 19-25, included stops in Le Mars, Storm Lake, Fort Dodge, Iowa Falls, Waterloo, Anamosa, Maquoketa and Clinton. After discussing with the overnight towns and other organizers, the event's committee made the decision to cancel the event.

“After deep consideration and collaboration with the eight overnight town executive committees, government agencies, the public health department, and official business partners of RAGBRAI, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone RAGBRAI XLVIII to July 25-31, 2021,” commented Anne Lowrie, RAGBRAI'ssenior marketing manager.“The safety of our riders has always been the most important focus for our RAGBRAI team and we feel the decision to postpone to July 25 -31, 2021 is the right one. We strongly feel that this is in everyone’s best interest.”

The 2021 version of RAGBRAI will use the same route and is scheduled for July 25-31. More information, including refund information, can be found at ragbrai.com.
