Dean Culbertson, 91

Dean Clyde Culbertson, 91, Red Oak, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Stanton Care Center.
Dean was born May 13, 1934, in Shenandoah, the son of Carl Culbertson and Edna Porter. He was raised in Red Oak. He attended school for many years in Red Oak and then in Whittier, Calif. Dean was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division in Ft. Bragg, N.C. and a member of Red Oak’s Company M National Guard. He was a full-time fireman for the Red Oak Fire Department for many years.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura Ward and husband Howard of Red Oak and Julie Axton of Arizona; sons, Scott Culbertson and wife Robin of Stanton, and Troy Culbertson of Red Oak. Siblings include Sharon Bradley and Sandra Weber of Red Oak, Glenn Waggener of Denver, Colo., Roger Waggener of Red Oak, Larry Waggener of Council Bluffs and Reed Porter of Red Oak, special friend, Vivian Adams of Papillion, nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends
A graveside memorial service will take place at a later time at the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak.
