Lawrence Bradway, 93

Lawrence Russell Bradway was born on Sept. 9, 1932, in Nodaway. He was the fourth of 10 children born to Dean Leroy Bradway and Ila Ermine (Wilcox) Bradway. He married Joyce Nadine Carr on Dec. 7, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Red Oak. Two daughters, Sandra and Jackie, were born to this union. They were married almost 73 years until her passing on Nov. 17, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings - Leonard, Helen, Louis, Robert and Dorothy; son-in-law, Larry McFadden; niece, Marlene Taylor; and nephew, Kieth Thayers.
Survivors include – his daughters; four grandchildren – Alana Smith and husband Patrick, Benjamin McFadden and wife Johanna, William McFadden, Rebekah McFadden and fiancé Nuno Moreno; two great-grandchildren – Atlas Smith and Dagny Smith; brothers, Ralph Bradway and wife Pat, Sherwood Bradway, Delaine Bradway and wife Susan; sister, Virginia Settell and husband Ronnie, many beloved nephews and nieces, and family members on Joyce’s side.
Lawrence could build or fix anything from a young age. He built their new home in 1965, where they lived for the next 40 years before moving to Lindale in 1996. He worked for J.D. Oil Company in Red Oak, for 12 years before starting his own business - Bradway Heating and Cooling in Red Oak from 1973 to 1985. He also enjoyed raising Angus cattle. His great loves were always family first with family get-togethers being a priority, the great outdoors which included camping and traveling, holding babies and watching children play, his photo albums, and Mountain Dew.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Christ Point Church, 402 W. Hubbard St., Lindale, Texas 75771 with Pastor Jason Teague officiating.
