Patricia Erskins, 85

Patricia Elizabeth Erskins, 85, of Council Bluffs, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at Regency Rehabilitation.

Patricia was born March 17, 1927 in Elliott, to Laurence and Elizabeth Anesty Jennings. She graduated from Elliott High School in 1945 and married R. Keith Erskins Nov. 30, 1946, in Des Moines. Patricia moved to Council Bluffs in 1958 and served as office manager for medical offices, mainly Dr’s. Malashock and Frank, for more than 20 years, retiring in 1985. She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church and their Altar and Rosary Society, member of Optimrs and Welcome Wagon. Her hobbies included playing bridge.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Keith in 1998; sisters, Ada (Clement) Wilson, and Florence (Irvin) Barber; a sister-in-law Duveen Jennings; brothers, Greg (Grace) Jennings, Lloyd (Roselda) Jennings and Charles (Alberta) Jennings. Survivors include daughters, Janet Marie Erskins, Council Bluffs; Mary Elizabeth Mathis and husband Kenneth, Las Vegas; and Catherine Ann Ronk and husband Robert, Council Bluffs, three grandchildren, Megan Conklin, Eric Erskins, and Trevor Mathis; one great grandchild, Gibson Keith Conklin; a sister, Phyllis Green and husband Ray, Mission Viejo, Calif.; and a brother, Dick Jennings, Elliott.

Visitation with family is Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Cutler- O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian
Burial, Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Council Bluffs. Father David Fleming, Celebrant. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Walnut Hill Reception Center 1350 E. Pierce Street. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer Association.
