Red Oak boys’ get the win over Sidney on the road
SIDNEY — The Red Oak boys’ golf team picked up their second win of the season during a meet against Sidney and Fremont-Mills.
Red Oak recorded a team score of 212, finishing five shots ahead of Sidney. Fremont-Mills only had three golfers for the meet, therefore they didn’t have a team score.
Danny Carlson was the runner-up medalist for the meet. Carlson shot a 50 as he was one shot behind medalist Clinton Clark of Sidney.
Josh Craig finished second for Red Oak and third overall with a score of 52.
Mitch Hilder and Nick Carlson each tied for third for Red Oak with a 55. Ryan Plambeck recorded a 59 and Brandon Farnum had a 66.
Red Oak will be home Tuesday to compete against Clarinda. The meet will start at 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, they'll be back on the road as they head to Shenandoah to compete against Shenandoah and Atlantic.
