Ryan perdue, 29
Ryan Perdue, 29, of Griswold, formerly of Red Oak, died in a car accident north of Stanton and was found Friday morning, June 15, 2012, and taken to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak where he was pronounced dead.
Ryan James Perdue was born to James Albert Denny and Debra Kay Perdue June 4, 1983. He grew up in the Griswold and Red Oak areas and attended school in both towns.
Following his schooling, he worked in the construction industry as a drywall installer and painter.
He married Beth Booher Oct. 13, 2006, in Red Oak.
For the last year, Ryan was delivering newspapers for the Omaha World Herald and the Des Moines Register.
According to his many-many friends and family, Ryan had a “Heart of Gold,” a laugh that would lighten up any room and was always available to lend a hand when someone needed help. He will always be remembered as a devoted father.
He is preceded in death by his father, James, and his grandfather, Russell Boseck.
Survivors include his son, Corey, of Griswold; grandmother, Rose Boseck, of Griswold, (with whom he and Corey made their home); mother, Debra Perdue and special friend Tracy, of Sioux City; paternal grandparents, Mary and Steve Maxell, of Atlantic; half-sisters, Danielle, Jamie, Grace and Sara; aunt, Candy (Uncle Sam) Erichsen; cousins, Niki (Brian Baker) Erichsen and son, Jake, Amy (Jared Zimmerman) Penry and Tori (Lauren) Connet and sons, James and Jase, all of Sioux City; wife, Beth, of Red Oak; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will take place Tuesday, June 20, at 11 a.m., at the Central Church of Christ in Griswold, with Tony Brandt officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Open visitation will be at the Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold, where the family will be present from 6-7:30 p.m., Monday.
