Soden selected for Honor Band

STORM LAKE - Andrew Soden from Red Oak was one of nine Buena Vista University students recently accepted into the Iowa Collegiate Honor Band.
Rehearsal for the honor band took took place at the Iowa State University music building with the concert performance at the Ames City Auditorium on Nov. 20.
The guest conductor for the honor band was Dr. Russ Mikkelson, director of bands and professor of conducting at Ohio State University.
Jerry Bertrand, Assistant Professor of Music, is the director of the concert band at BVU.
Soden a sophomore majoring in computer science and math plays the trumpet.
