Sports Calendar: May 15

There isn't as much on the sports calendar for Friday. However, we do have a few things going on.

The Mount Ayr District Track meet will be made up Friday. That will start at the same time as Thursday, which would be 4 p.m. The meet was one of three to be postponed Thursday because of inclement weather. Stanton, Essex and Griswold are all scheduled to compete. (NOTE: You can read a preview of the meet here)

Meanwhile, boys golf sectionals will be going on all across the state. Both Red Oak and Griswold will be hosting sectionals.

The Red Oak golf sectional will start at 1 p.m. at the Red Oak Country Club.  Red Oak, Southwest Valley, Shenandoah, Clarinda, Treynor, Underwood, Sidney and Central Decatur are all scheduled to compete.

The Griswold meet meanwhile kicks off at 10 a.m. at the Griswold Golf and Country Club. East Mills, Nishnabotna, Nodaway Valley, Riverside, St. Albert, CAM and Heartland Christian are all scheduled to compete.
