Sports Calendar: May 9

There isn't as much on the sports calendar for Friday, but there are a few events going on.

In tennis, the Red Oak boys team looks to make up a meet that was postponed last month. They travel to the Carroll Tennis Courts to face Kuemper Catholic. The meet starts at 4:30 p.m.

It was originally scheduled for April 14, but postponed because of inclement weather.

NOTE: We didn't get to add this yesterday, but Thursday's road meet against Harlan was postponed. No make-up date has been announced.

Meanwhile, the Southwest Valley tennis teams are i n action as they face Creston. The girls will be home, while the boys head to Creston. It all starts at 4 p.m.

Finally, both East Mills track teams will be in action when they take part at the Underwood meet. That is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.

There is one event scheduled for Saturday. The Red Oak girls tennis team will host a varsity tournament starting at 9 a.m.
