Sports Update: Red Oak falls short in tennis regional final

For the first time in a long time, the Red Oak girls tennis team will miss out on state team tennis.

Red Oak lost 5-4 Tuesday evening in the 1A regional final versus Shenandoah. The Tigers trailed 4-2 entering doubles, but rallied back to nearly take the regional final.

The Fillies advance on to face Ballard Wednesday afternoon in Norwalk. The winner advances onto the final four, which will be played June 6 in Ankeny.

We'll have more on the meet in the June 2 edition of the Red Oak Express.
