Stanton Care Center's Fundraising Festival
On July 8 Stanton Care Center held a fundraising festival to support the Friends of Stanton and the proposed Viking Center. The festival, held at the care center, had face painting, dunk tank, pie in the face, car wash, lemonade stand, golf cart rides and a grill for raffle. The care center would like to thank all the volunteers, especially the dunk tank and pie in the face volunteers. Community volunteers: Pastor Eric Kutzli, Don Hicks, Jake Nimrod, Wendy Confer, and Stanton Care Center volunteers: Corene Walter, director of nursing and Jalene Moffet Administrator. Immediately following the festival Jan Black won the drawing for the grill. The care center was able to raise over $700 during this event. That, plus money from a previous bake and plant sale, totals over $900, all of which will be matched by Jack Vetter, owner Stanton Care Center and the Vetter foundation.
