Stanton to host Relay for Life Event “Survivor”
Stanton will host a Relay for Life Event with the theme “Survivor: Stanton,” April 25, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Community members are welcome to attend and all school staff and students will be involved. Several fun things are planned to promote awareness and raise money for cancer research during the event.
Those interested in donating, purchasing a balloon memorial or purchasing a tribute for a survivor can visit the Stanton School Office or call 829-2162. Balloons and tributes are available for $1.
For the event, each K-12 student should bring an item for the food pantry, which will be used to hold the balloons down while they are placed around the track. The food will be donated to the Stanton pantry after the event. These items can be sent up until April 25 with students to school.
Donations are also being collected for the flea market. Items can be delivered to the school.
Additional activities include carnival games, Jazzercise, sack lunching with teams and walking the track.
Survivors are invited to walk the Survivor Lap around the track at 10:30 a.m.
