Tornado touchdown northeast of Stanton

Severe weather dumped heavy rains and hail around parts of Montgomery County and southwest Iowa Wednesday, April 27. A confirmed tornado touchdown was reported 5 miles northeast of Stanton at around 3:30 p.m. Low-lying areas of the county saw flash flooding, and piles of hail were left next to the roadways.
