Trost pleads guilty to felony theft charge

Kim Jack Douglas Trost pleaded guilty to felony theft in the first degree Oct. 5, after numerous testimonies for the state. By the end of proceedings, Trost with his attorney, Andrew Knuth, plead guilty to theft in the first degree.
The case, which received change venue to Council Bluffs, was in deliberation and in the first stages of bringing in testimony and evidence.
“The Red Oak Police Department and Sheriff’s office did a great job.” Bruce Swanson, attorney for the state said.
Trost is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 11, 2010.
Trost has been arrested 43 times in the last 11 years, serving a total of 18 months in the Montgomery County jail.
