Tuesday Scoreboard: Red Oak shuts out Clarinda

RED OAK/CLARINDA — The Red Oak Tigers tennis teams picked wins over Clarinda Tuesday.

The girls' defeated Clarinda 9-0 at their first outdoor home meet in a couple of weeks.

The boys' traveled down to Clarinda to secure the 9-0 win.

Both teams will be back in action Thursday when they face Atlantic. The boys will be home and the girls will go to Atlantic.

The Red Oak golf teams took to the course on Tuesday in Clarinda. The boys' lost, 156-191. Danny Carlson was the top finisher for Red Oak, shooting a 40 for the afternoon.

The girls' were home, losing 188-284. Marissa Sherman led the way for the Tigers by shooting a 61.

The boys' team had not competed since April 14. Both teams will be in action Thursday as the boys hit Atlantic and the girls drive south on 48 to Shenandoah.
