Phelps criticizes response to flag ruling
Dear Editor:
We’ve watched Iowa respond with unholy rage to the federal judge saying you can’t stop Westboro Baptist Church from expressive use of the flag.
You try to silence a dissenting message, while pretending to be a nation of laws. Of course, you break God’s law without batting an eye. So we aren’t surprised when you brush away your own constitution.
We stomp on and otherwise disrespect the American flag for these reasons:
• In every nation of the world, the USA flag today represents bloody abortion, warmongering, sodomy and proud fornication. What God-fearing person would do anything but disrespect such an awful bloody symbol?
• God said no idolatry. You’ve made that flag an idol. We refuse.
• By every lawful means we are going to use your symbols to tell you that your proud sin – which crescendos with same sex marriage – will be your doom. If you look at our feet on the flag and get that message, great!
Don’t waste your breath with cult-chants like “if you don’t like America, leave it,” or “anyone who desecrates the flag should lose his citizenship.” We’re unmoved. God put us in this land with this message.
We’re here until we are done with the job He gave us; He’s in charge, not you.
There is no compromise. You are going to obey God and His plain commandments, or you are going to perish.
Stop worshiping that bloody rag, and fear and obey God.
